Manager, Cleaning and Waste Planning & Integration:
Reporting to the Head of Cleaning & Waste, the Manager, Cleaning and Waste Planning & Integration serves as the central planning and integration lead for the Cleaning & Waste (CNW) Functional Area. This role drives the CNW master schedule, coordinates cross-functional planning, and tracks key milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables to support operational readiness.
Acting as a force multiplier for CNW leadership, the Manager is responsible for establishing structure, reporting, accountability, and stakeholder alignment across the organization. This role supports the successful planning and delivery of cleaning and waste operations for the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain the CNW Integrated Master Schedule, ensuring alignment of key milestones, dependencies, critical path activities, and Games-readiness objectives.
- Lead cross-functional planning and integration across Functional Areas, ensuring CNW requirements, assumptions, dependencies, and operational needs are incorporated into broader Games planning activities.
- Develop and manage dashboards, status reports, trackers, readiness assessments, and executive reporting materials to monitor progress against key deliverables, readiness objectives, and strategic priorities.
- Establish and manage CNW planning governance processes, including planning meetings, readiness reviews, action tracking, decision logs, risk management, issue resolution, and escalation procedures.
- Support venue planning, operational assessments, workforce planning, procurement planning, contractor onboarding activities, and Games-time readiness efforts, coordinating CNW inputs into key operational planning documents.
- Serve as the CNW lead for planning systems and process improvement initiatives, including Smartsheet administration, development of standardized templates, reporting frameworks, and continuous improvement of planning processes.

- Advanced proficiency in planning and reporting tools (Smartsheet preferred; MS Project, Asana, Jira, or similar platforms). Experience leveraging AI-enabled workplace and productivity tools preferred.
- Exceptional organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, facilitation, and action-tracking capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Experience:
- 5+ years in project management, program management, planning, consulting, or large-scale event delivery.
- Managing complex cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Developing schedules, reporting tools, and planning processes.
- Venue operations, major events, logistics, hospitality, transportation, or similar operational environments preferred.
- Olympic, Paralympic or other major event experience preferred
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Bachelor’s degree in Business/Project Management, Operations Management, Engineering, Logistics, Event Management, or a related field required
- Master Degree in related field preferred
- PMP Certification preferred
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office.
- The majority of work will be conducted in an office setting, requiring extended periods of time using computers, phones, and other office equipment.
- The LA28 office is an open floorplan working environment; employees must be able to work efficiently in an open cubicle environment.
- Hours of work may vary, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, especially during peak event periods.
- Perform other duties as required; the role will evolve over time and may include operational responsibilities during the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The annual base salary range for this position is $88,000.00 – $115,000.00. The pay scale provided is the range that LA28 reasonably expects to pay as starting base compensation for this role. All LA28 compensation remains subject to final determination based on individual candidate qualifications, experience, or other reasonable criteria consistent with LA28’s operational business needs and applicable law.
