Job Description
Wasserman is looking for a motivated individual to join the Brands Retainer Client team. This position is responsible for overseeing and leading music partnerships, colleagues, and processes to ensure client satisfaction. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
Responsibilities:
- 6+ years sports and entertainment marketing and high-profile talent branded partnerships experience in the music space
- 3+ years direct people management and development experience
- Proven-track record of partnering with cross-functional teams to craft innovative, strategy-driven campaigns that captivate and engage music fans on a deeper level
- Expert across the music vertical with a strong focus on the U.S. Hispanic segment, constantly monitoring the market and competitive intelligence within the entertainment and music landscape.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with music industry stakeholders.
- Strategic thinker who has the ability to research and analyze data from multiple sources (e.g., market landscapes, audience intelligence, sponsorship valuations) to influence and elevate the work.
- Masterfully craft compelling decks that shape strategy, tell a persuasive story, and drive buy-in for key initiatives while collaborating with the Director to elevate the brand through innovative, thought-leadership concepts that drive client KPIs.
- Oversees and directs team members in account management, client service, partnership management, general relationship development, project coordination and internal agency resource coordination.
- Guides the development of concepts and creative, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless execution and delivery as envisioned
- Leads and collaborates with the agency’s internal research and insights team to define program success metrics upfront while overseeing the evaluation process to measure effectiveness, culminating in impactful client recap presentations.
- Partners with the agency’s internal account teams across different verticals to integrate talent across activations.
- Oversees and facilitates, in partnership with the Director, deal structures and negotiation strategy for talent and property agreements from development to full execution; works with client, agency and internal team to craft the best business structures for clients entering or renewing agreements in the entertainment arena.
- Facilitates negotiations between the partner and client where/when required; and once a sponsorship is established, manages the relationship to ensure the client is fully leveraging all benefits and assets.
- Serves as a primary point of contact for clients and partners setting the tone for regular formal and informal check ins, status meetings, troubleshooting and advancing the business.
- Intercedes when issues arise between partners and programs; works diligently to create solutions for agency and clients.
- Understands the landscape for each client’s business/sector as well as the industry contexts for their investments.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients, ensuring alignment with their evolving plans while fostering new and repeat business opportunities to strengthen Wasserman’s position within the organization.
- Builds relationships with clients to encourage new and repeat business opportunities and is willing to “walk the halls” and spend the time with the client to solidify the agency’s position inside the client organization.
- Ensure adherence to all finance and legal agency protocols, including managing agreements, accounting, and payment processing with precision and compliance
Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree 9+ years relevant experience with minimum 6 years of direct experience in account and project management
- Agency experience required
- Preferred individual that is comfortable conducting business in Spanish.
- Maintains a calm, solution-oriented mindset while effectively juggling multiple priorities and navigating challenges with composure and strategic thinking
- Core knowledge of how brand partnerships operate from negotiation, activation building, execution and recapping
- Ability to lead music negotiations from deal to execution at all levels (ex. Brand endorsements, large scale tours, individual performances)
- Strong understanding of the Global music landscape, inclusive in the Latin Music space
- Specific experience working in music in a sponsorship and/or activation capacity
- Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, with experience in Slack, Box and Sharepoint
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word and Excel for deck development and budget management.
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing.
- Superior interpersonal skills and be able to create a rapport with people of all demographics.
- Proven Account Management skills required in order to create, maintain and enhance customer relationships.

Base salary range: $106k, plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
