Wasserman Marketing is looking for a motivated individual to join the Brands Retainer Client team in Chicago, IL or Raleigh, NC. This position is responsible for leading, developing and managing a variety of current and prospective business relationships, sponsorships, and other partnerships in order to ensure client satisfaction. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
Duties:
- Lead our Brand Equity vertical, which includes partnership identification and management for a portfolio of brands.
- Lead integrated partnership efforts, inclusive of new and existing talent and property partners.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of new partnership opportunities within sports, music and entertainment.
- Be in-team expert on talent endorsement deals, including athletes, music artists and TV/Film actors/personalities.
- Manage a team to ensure individual development goals are met and vertical responsibilities are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
- Oversees interagency relationships related to job function; works with our Wasserman agency team to manage outside agencies and partners to ensure smooth execution of all client programs; mentors and guides status calls, integrated project plans, and more.
- Can demonstrate experience leading teams through condensed timelines over several time zones, multiple deliverables in parallel, various stakeholders and adhering to a process that ensures deliverable completion and maintains the highest quality possible.
- Oversees, initiates and delegates regular two-way communication between our day-to-day clients, client business units, client brand teams, internal Wasserman teams and all external partners and vendors to provide strong client service and set proper client expectations.
- Takes a proactive role to understand Wasserman’s capabilities and service offerings in order to identify opportunities to present new capabilities to the clients.
- Is comfortable expanding beyond the remit of this particular role and is willing to support and/or help lead new client pitches and play a role in responding to RFPs.
- Thinks daily about business development and new revenue opportunities with existing clients and potential clients.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
- 6+ years relevant experience with minimum 4 years of direct experience in account and project management (preferably in the brand or partnership strategy field).
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel for deck development and quantitative analysis
- Previous experience managing a team and balancing multiple external clients / stakeholders
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, can adapt to various situations and personalities and is capable of executing in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of initiative and works well independently and in a team environment.
- Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction while capable of delegating tasks with accountability.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Talent partnership experience, with the ability to compose term sheet and formal partnership offers.
- An openness to travel though limited.
