Wasserman Marketing is looking for a motivated individual to join the Brands Retainer Client team in Chicago, IL or Raleigh, NC. This position is responsible for leading, developing and managing a variety of current and prospective business relationships, sponsorships, and other partnerships in order to ensure client satisfaction. This position is expected to consistently provide excellent customer service to accounts, as well as represent client needs and goals within the organization to ensure quality.
Duties:
- Lead our Strategy, Insights, and Measurement vertical, including the direction of all portfolio strategy projects for client, showing an ability to conduct both quantitative and qualitative analysis to generate insights and recommendations
- Lead the performance tracking, measurement, and reporting for all client partnerships across sports and entertainment
- Contribute to key recap reports covering priority activation and end of year partnership verticals
- Be in-team expert on Wasserman valuation methodologies, tools, and implementation
- Assists Senior Director in the management, training and professional development of more junior team members.
- Oversees interagency relationships related to job function; works with our Wasserman agency team to manage outside agencies and partners to ensure smooth execution of all client programs; mentors and guides status calls, integrated project plans, and more.
- Can demonstrate experience leading teams through condensed timelines over several time zones, multiple deliverables in parallel, various stakeholders and adhering to a process that ensures deliverable completion and maintains the highest quality possible.
- Oversees, initiates and delegates regular two-way communication between our day-to-day clients, client business units, client brand teams, internal Wasserman teams and all external partners and vendors to provide strong client service and set proper client expectations.
- Takes a proactive role to understand Wasserman’s capabilities and service offerings in order to identify opportunities to present new capabilities to the clients.
- Is comfortable expanding beyond the remit of this particular role and is willing to support and/or help lead new client pitches and play a role in responding to RFPs.
- Thinks daily about business development and new revenue opportunities with existing clients and potential clients.
Skills/Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
- 6+ years relevant experience with minimum 4 years of direct experience in account and project management (preferably in the sports or entertainment field).
- High-level proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; advanced skills in PowerPoint and Excel for deck development and performance tracking / calculations
- Previous experience managing a team and balancing multiple external clients / stakeholders
- Possess exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing, can adapt to various situations and personalities and is capable of executing in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of initiative and works well independently and in a team environment.
- Plans and carries out responsibilities with minimal direction while capable of delegating tasks with accountability.
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized.
- Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Valuation experience and familiarity with contractual language both in traditional sponsorship arrangements and non-traditional business-to-business partnerships.
- An openness to travel though limited.
