Position Purpose:
The Mechanical Integrator plays a critical, hands-on role in uniting diverse technical elements into a single, cohesive system, with a strong emphasis on global on-site implementation. At TAIT, you'll help bring extraordinary entertainment experiences to life by transforming complex mechanical systems into fully integrated, show-ready solutions. This travel-intensive role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of engineering, creativity, and live performance, specializing in cruise ship permanent installations (PI). You'll be responsible for initial system integration, ongoing maintenance, and break/fix operations to ensure seamless performance at sea.
Essential Responsibilities / Accountabilities:
System Integration & Implementation
- Coordinate the integration of diverse mechanical and technical components into a unified, functional system.
- Serve as a key member of the installation team, executing on-site implementation for clients worldwide.
- Conduct shop testing and setup, particularly for complex or custom mechanical elements.
Project Communication & Collaboration
- Maintain regular communication with project teams to align on tasks, timelines, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth transitions between project phases.
Technical Knowledge & Support
- Maintain a working understanding of all technical disciplines related to system integration.
- Partner with the Service & Support team to assist with post-project maintenance and troubleshooting.
Process & Safety Compliance
- Contribute to the development and refinement of internal standards and integration processes.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, promoting a culture of safety on and off site.
Professional Development & Conduct
- Stay organized and detail-oriented in all aspects of work.
- Attend required meetings, seminars, and training sessions to stay current with industry and company practices.
- Perform all assigned duties in accordance with company policies and expectations.

Minimum Qualifications
To perform the essential responsibilities, individuals must have the following level of education and experience, or equivalent combination. Additionally, the following certifications, knowledge, skills, or physical requirements are necessary for the position.
- Formal Technical Background: Education or training in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or a related technical field.
- Theater/Entertainment Experience: Prior experience working in theatre, live entertainment, or touring environments.
- Professional Experience: Minimum of 5 years in an Integrator role or a similar TAIT-adjacent position, with strong knowledge of Rigging, performer flying, and winches.
- Demonstrated Leadership: Proven ability to take initiative and lead within technical or project-based environments.
- Communication Skills: Strong written communication skills for documentation and team collaboration.
- Work Environment Readiness: Ability to work in “entertainment conditions,” including non-traditional hours, confined spaces, and dynamic environments.
- Location Requirement: Must be based in either Lititz, PA or Orlando, FL.
- Legal Work Authorization: Must have the legal right to work in the United States or the United Kingdom.
- Travel Commitment: Willingness and ability to travel approximately 120+ days per year, depending on project needs.
