WHAT YOU WILL DO
As a Senior Account Director, you will serve as the primary relationship owner for an assigned group of top-tier client accounts. You’ll ensure client retention and growth by delivering strategic insights, overseeing flawless execution, and identifying opportunities for expansion. This role requires a proactive, solution-oriented leader with a passion for experiential marketing and team development.
Client Management & Strategy:
- Lead client onboarding, content strategy development, and annual planning.
- Establish and nurture strong client relationships, acting as a trusted strategic partner.
- Prepare and deliver compelling client presentations, including stakeholder updates up to the C-Suite.
- Identify new opportunities within existing accounts, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth.
- Maintain a deep understanding of clients’ experiences to proactively address potential challenges.
Campaign Execution & Oversight:
- Shape and drive direction across multiple accounts, advancing big ideas and ensuring seamless execution.
- Lead the development of inspiring briefs that align with client goals and agency capabilities.
- Oversee the execution of experiential events, amplification efforts, and complementary programming.
- Ensure quality control and excellence in all aspects of campaign execution.
- Ensure cross-functional collaboration and delivery of projects that meet client’s specified and unspecified holistic needs.
Business Growth & Leadership:
- Actively seek and pitch incremental business opportunities with existing and potential clients.
- Effectively present TEAM’s capabilities and offerings to drive new business growth.
- Maintain and manage budgets, demonstrating a strong understanding of cost estimating and pricing programs within budget constraints while maintaining margin goals.
- Contribute to agency performance, retention, and upsell strategies to enhance client satisfaction.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Mentor, inspire, and develop junior agency staff, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
- Provide guidance and resources to help team members assess ideas and strategic directions.
- Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless integration of creative, strategy, and execution.
WAYS TO STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Advertising, or related field required.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of agency experience with demonstrated team management and leadership.
- Experience in traditional/digital marketing within CPG, retail, alcohol, hospitality, and automotive industries.
- Proven track record of building strong client relationships and leading creative presentations at local and national levels.
- Successful history of pitching and winning new business.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Ability to analyze insights and provide strategic recommendations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and digital/social analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to travel and assist with onsite program management (up to 50%).
- Regular travel to Winston Salem required (quarterly).
- Comfortability with the nicotine category is required.
