Job Title: Wayfinding Designer FWC, Wasserman Live

Reports to: Project General Manager / Wayfinding Lead, Wasserman Live
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly detail-oriented and creative Wayfinding Designer with strong artwork production skills to join our dynamic team. This role requires not only fluency in design systems and layout software but also the ability to translate strategic signage plans into high-quality production files. You will play a crucial role in ensuring visual consistency, operational accuracy, and delivery excellence across all signage outputs for our FIFA World Cup 2026 Wayfinding and Signage delivery.
Key Responsibilities
Design, Layout & Artwork Production
- Develop and adapt design templates based on established guidelines and source files
- Implement revisions and rollouts of templates for city-specific, venue-specific or target group-specific needs
- Ensure artwork is error-free, consistent with brand standards, and aligned with planning data
- Support updates and localization of the Kit of Parts (KOP) for various applications
- Work with proprietary automation tools and scripts to increase efficiency and reduce error
File & Asset Management
- Follow strict file naming conventions and folder structure protocols
- Prepare and package artwork for official release, ensuring all assets are production-ready
- Maintain version control and accurate tracking of all artwork iterations
- Upload final files into proprietary systems, ensuring timely and traceable delivery
Project Execution & Collaboration
- Understand the full project lifecycle and where artwork integrates within it
- Proactively communicate with Wayfinding Planners to identify and resolve potential issues
- Deliver artwork in line with phased timelines and production deadlines
- Flag risks or blockers early and support resolution efforts
Quality Assurance & Technical Compliance
- Apply the Kit of Parts accurately to both standard and custom signage solutions
- Ensure alignment between artwork files and approved message schedules
- Confirm compliance with technical requirements, including production specs, color profiles, and format settings
- Contribute to creative problem-solving when signage requirements fall outside standard KOP use
Cross-functional Support
- Provide design assistance across presentations, reports, and manuals as needed
- Support project prioritization, timeline adherence, and artwork planning alongside the Planning team
- Maintain team communication and contribute positively to team culture and morale
Skills & Requirements
Core Competencies
- Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Illustrator & InDesign
- Use of character, paragraph, object styles
- Management of layers, master pages, and document structure
- Accurate color management and PDF exports for print/production
- Experience with scripting and automation tools is a plus
- Strong technical precision in preparing artwork for production
- Fast learner, particularly with new platforms, software, and in-house tools
- Detail-oriented with a structured and methodical approach to design tasks
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in wayfinding, signage, environmental graphics, or event branding
- Background working on large-scale events or public venue projects
- Familiarity with sign management systems
