WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
As Signage Press Operator, your primary responsibilities include coordinating, and producing high quality signage to ensure client specifications are met.
Responsibilities:
Production, Quality Control and Maintenance
- Gain a working knowledge of both EFI hybrid Wide Format Printer and Zund Digital Die Cutter.
- Successfully complete training to effectively print, quality control and finish print jobs needed to be produced on EFI printer.
- Gain an understanding of the different tooling and blades used to perform different cuts and scores on digital die cutter.
- Primarily work as EFI hybrid Wide Format press operator while providing back up for Zund Die Cutter.
- Execute any preventive maintenance required.
- Adequately follow and execute job as per the work instructions.
- Required to follow all procedures and perform the appropriate quality control checks.
- Learn what level of quality is expected and what would be rejected and report to supervisor.
- Maintain a clean work area, put waste in assigned waste bins.
- Daily production and maintenance of large format printing equipment to create high-quality prints and graphics.
- Apply tailored finishes to products such as customized cutting, lamination, mounting, kiss cutting, etc.
- Manage high volume projects accurately and efficiently, while following company policy, procedures, and safety guidelines.
- Continuously inspect projects throughout the process and conduct final quality check to ensure quality and accuracy.
- Build and maintain relationships with internal team members.
Systems Development and Integration
- Become a champion of our purpose-built Quest management system and maintain levels of data management.
- Regularly pull files from fiery server and/or RIP software.
- Ensure scanning process for jobs through Quest management system are accurate and complete.
- Receive, process, maintain orders, and prioritize work assignments.
Cross Training and Collaboration
- Work with production teams to ensure projects are completed timely and accurate manner.
THE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE YOU NEED
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with large format printing on a variety of substrates – roll and rigid.
- A desire to deliver class-leading branding, wayfinding and signage.
- Willingness to follow department policies and procedures.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
- Ability to prioritize and think logically and methodically.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs.
- A “hands on” “can do” attitude with an ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
