POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Digital Media plays a crucial role in driving successful outcomes for Loud And Live’s agency client programs and in promoting our concerts and cultural events. This position is responsible for overseeing the strategy, planning, and execution of paid and earned digital media across a diverse range of channels, including but not limited to Search, Social Media, Influencer, Display, Programmatic and Video.
This role requires a deep understanding of hyper-local media strategy, planning and buying as well as emerging media landscape trends and data analysis. The Director of Digital Media will have a passion for delivering impactful campaigns that resonate with diverse audiences. The ideal candidate brings a mix of creativity, strategic insight, and analytical thinking to the role, ensuring effective media placements and driving results for Loud And Live’s diverse roster of clients and events.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Team Leadership
- Lead the influencer, social and digital media team, focusing on driving growth and innovation for Loud And Live’s agency clients, live event properties, and entertainment business.
- Mentor and support team members' growth, development, and performance.
- Push the team to proactively bring bold and creative ideas to the table, fostering an environment of data-driven innovation.
- Allocate resources and manage workload to balance priorities across the department, ensuring efficient execution of all projects and meeting the needs of both brand clients and live events/entertainment.
Strategy Development
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams (e.g., client service, creative, strategy) to define campaign objectives, target audiences, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to develop and execute cutting-edge digital strategies tailored to agency clients, live event properties, and entertainment campaigns.
- Work with the digital team to conduct thorough research and competitive analysis to identify the most effective channels and placements.
- Support the team to negotiate and secure competitive rates with media partners and talent.
- Oversee media schedules, trafficking, and campaign optimization to effectively balance workloads and to ensure flawless execution.
- Be the first to understand, evangelize, and implement best practices, innovations, and opportunities in digital media to ensure the agency stays ahead of industry trends.
- Stay up to date on industry trends, emerging platforms, and media consumption behavior to drive innovation for Loud And Live’s roster of clients and events.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Monitor campaign performance, analyze data, and track progress to assist the team to identify areas for improvement and campaign optimization.
- Leverage campaign results and data-driven insights to optimize future strategies.
New Business
- Lead new business initiatives related to digital media, social and influencer marketing, working closely with clients to understand their needs.
- Oversee onboarding of new clients, developing strategies and resources to integrate them seamlessly into the department's workflow.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field.
- 8-10+ years of relevant experience in media planning and buying across digital media channels, preferably within an agency or experiential marketing environment.
- Motivated leader of people who consistently looks for opportunities to grow the abilities of individuals and the overall effectiveness of the team.
- Expert-level knowledge of the digital landscape and how these tactics can be leveraged to achieve key marketing objectives.
- Extensive experience in driving direct-response outcomes using digital channels.
- Proven track record of leveraging digital marketing to deliver hyper-local results.
- Demonstrates ability to analyze and understand audience traits and consumption behaviors across digital media channels, both globally and locally, with proven success in creating and executing digital marketing strategy.
- Demonstrates experience handling multiple clients, projects and workstreams across different types of campaigns.
- Passion and experience delighting clients and going above & beyond.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to craft compelling stories and pitches.
- Passion for experiential marketing and a deep understanding of how digital marketing can amplify brand experiences.
- Strategic thinking and analytical skills, with the ability to assess campaign performance and adjust tactics as needed.
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Bilingual (English and Spanish) is a plus.
