POSITION SUMMARY
We are seeking a high-performing Director of Retail Account Development to join our expanding agency team. This role is not just about sales. It is about shaping the future of how brands connect with consumers in retail environments through powerful, multi-sensory marketing experiences.
This position plays a mission-critical role in driving revenue growth and deepening our strategic partnerships with key retail partners, serving as the tip of the spear in identifying, engaging, and converting consumer brand clients across verticals into long-term collaborators. You will be the engine behind our go-to-market strategy, the curator of connections between brand-side decision-makers and retail media stakeholders, and a cross-functional leader in the orchestration of high-impact, experience-led integrated marketing programs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Account Development & Go-to-Market Planning
- Own the vertical sales development strategy across key CPG, retail, lifestyle, health, and entertainment sectors aligned with core retail categories.
- Identify high-value consumer brands with shared alignment to the retailer's shopper base; conduct extensive market intelligence to understand seasonal, category, and retailer initiatives.
- Develop and maintain senior-level relationships within retailer’s brand marketing and retail media teams.
- Collaborate with Loud And Live’s internal Business Strategy, Solutions, Creative, Client Services, and Media teams to create comprehensive, insights-driven proposals.
Client Engagement & Sales Execution
- Serve as the consultative lead in conversations with consumer brand clients, developing an acute understanding of their objectives and crafting tailored integrated solutions featuring experiential activations, digital media, shopper tactics, and cultural programming.
- Partner with the retailer’s internal retail media sales and brand teams to jointly pitch programs and secure approvals.
- Build and manage a robust pipeline, accurately forecast revenue, and hit or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets.
- Maintain structured, disciplined communication and follow-up with prospects to ensure momentum, clarity, and next steps.
Internal Collaboration & Reporting
- Establish processes and documentation standards for sales pipeline management, contact tracking, opportunity stages, and win/loss analysis.
- Deliver regular updates and strategic insight reports to the executive leadership team on sales progress, market dynamics, and client feedback.
- Stay at the forefront of retail marketing trends, retail media innovations, and experiential best practices to inform pitch strategy and product development.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, or a related field; MBA preferred.
- 4+ years of experience in business development, partnerships, or client strategy, ideally in a marketing agency, retail media network, or retail brand partnerships environment.
- Demonstrated track record of consultative selling to marketing and brand leaders within consumer product companies.
- Proven experience navigating and influencing within large matrixed organizations.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills—able to craft compelling emails, presentations, and pitch narratives.
- Deep understanding of retail marketing mechanics, brand strategy, and how in-store and experiential programs fit into larger media mixes.
