The Manager, Experience with a focus on Growth & Development is an integral position on Wasserman’s Experiential team. Successful candidates will have the responsibility of being a key collaborator in the development of new business proposals and all related processes. The Manager, Experience will assist the broader team with internal processes, project management, and ensuring that new business proposals are grounded in research and insights to meet the high quality expected by Wasserman and its prospective clients.
General:
- Support the day-to-day operations of the Wasserman Experience new business team
- Manage internal processes and offer administrative support for new business proposals and all team functions
- Gather research and form insights to inform the creative development of new business responses
- Assist with project management of new business responses - developing status sheets, briefing documents and helping to enforce deliverable dates essential to each new business response’s success
- Proactively gather industry best-practices and trends to inform new and innovative solutions
- Work in a collaborative manner with all Wasserman divisions to support team deliverables
- Demonstrate an eagerness to and resourcefulness in understanding the landscape for each new client’s business/sector
- Create a positive, collaborative, team-oriented environment that aligns with Wasserman company culture and values
- Troubleshoot and embrace creative problem solving throughout response development
- Follow and proactively develop all project and new business processes and procedures to uphold quality standards and consistency across the division and business overall
- Ensure consistent positive working relationships between departments and other Wasserman Experience team members
Skills/Qualifications Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and highly organized
- 3 – 5 years relevant business development experience (preferably in the experiential, sports or entertainment field)
- Ability to remain calm under pressure, work on multiple projects simultaneously and achieve deadlines
- Possess exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Full working capabilities in Keynote and Microsoft PowerPoint. Design skills are not mandatory, but a valued asset.
- Maintain an open-minded mentality, allowing thorough exploration of all ideas and thought-starters
- Must be comfortable working as an integral part of a team environment
- Highly motivated and approaches each task with a can-do attitude
- Ability to put out small "fires", with an understanding of when to escalate
- Focused and strong-minded with an ambition to help grow the company
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload while coordinating with others to proactively meet deadlines
- Thrive in a fast-paced environment and possess a ‘can-do’ attitude at all times
- Ability to identify trends and creative inspiration to position the company as a thought leader
- Ability to operate ‘in the gray’ – figuring out process, structure and solutions that aren’t always exactly defined
- Project management and key stakeholder management
Base salary range: $70k - $80k plus bonus potential if applicable for role.
Actual base salary is dependent on several factors including but not limited to; market dynamics, location and region, experience, specialized skills/training (education), level of responsibility, budgetary considerations, tenure at the company (for current employees), etc. The salary range listed is just one component of the total compensation package for employees.
